How CAIC works

Certified Conversational AI Consultant is the apex credential in the CDI Academy. There is no CAIC exam. It is conferred when you hold the CDI Method Foundation and Agentic Experience Design certifications plus any two others, and it is kept current with a short annual declaration and either a Certified plan or the $99/year CAIC subscription.

The formula

Hold the Certified CDI Method Foundation Practitioner and Certified AXD Practitioner certifications, plus any two other Practitioner Certifications. CAIC is conferred after a short review; there is nothing extra to sit.

Keep it current, once a year

Every Practitioner Certification you earn is yours permanently. Only your status as a CAIC needs renewing each year, with a subscription (Certified or the $99/year CAIC subscription) and a declaration of your continued practice: the projects you worked on that year and any new learning you completed. It takes a few minutes once a year.

CAIC FAQs

Do I apply for CAIC?

No. When your certifications meet the formula, CAIC is conferred automatically after a review.

What does the review check? 

That you hold the required Practitioner Certifications: Foundation, AXD and any two others. There is no additional exam or interview.

What does the annual declaration involve?

A short summary of your continued practice: the projects you have worked on that year and any new learning completed. It takes a few minutes.

What happens if I let the $99/year subscription lapse? 

Your Practitioner Certifications remain permanent, but your CAIC will lapse until you return to the CAIC or Learn only or Certified Plan.
